Garret has been making beer for about 9 years and joined the team at Troubled Monk very early on.  He is very excited to see what 2017 will bring, after this year being such a stupendous one.

Charlie Bredo

Charlie started the Troubled Monk Brewery with his brother Graeme in June 2015.  Spending the majority of his time working on the business side of the brewery.  Charlie has a true passion for Red Deer and anything local. His intent has always been to supply Red Deer and the rest of Alberta with world class beer and have a ton of fun along the way.

Doug Ellertson
Assistant Brewer


Doug has the very busy task of looking after transfers, canning, and increasing efficiency.  He’s always enjoyed brewing, right from the beginning starting at home, and hopes to be doing it for a long time to come.
